On the activities of the 8th Air Force Fighter Command in Europe. Reel 1 shows a base near East Anglia, England. Gen. Doolittle discusses a mission. Pilots are briefed for an escort mission over Germany. P-47's are relieved in flight by P-51's. German pilots rush to intercept U.S. planes. U.S. bombers and many German fighters are downed. Shows Gen. Kepner. Reel 2, fighters destroy enemy planes, transportation, and communication. Montages a series of still photos of U.S. fliers killed in action.

James Harold "Jimmy" Doolittle (December 14, 1896 – September 27, 1993) was an American military general and aviation pioneer who received the Medal of Honor for his daring raids on Japan during World War II.
