MS, Gen Mark Clark comes down ramp of plane at K-16 and is greeted by Gen Maxwell D Taylor, Maj Gen McCarthy and another officer; they talk. MLS, MS, they board twin-engine L-plane. MS, plane takes off. HMS, Syngman Rhee, his wife and others walk up steps toward camera at the 121st Evacuation Hospital. MS, MCU, Int, Gen Dean is presented with the Korean Taeguk (?) Medal with gold star as group watches. Cut-ins, Gens Taylor and Clark watch presentation. MCU, Rhee pins medal on Dean. MS, Gens Dean, Taylor and Clark leave 8th Army HQ. MS, the three at Honor Guard Review, salute. VS, they review S. Korean and American Honor Guard, Dean speaks to a Guard Comd and shakes hands. MS, Gen Clark comes down ramp of plane at K-16 and is greeted by Gen Taylor. They pose with a couple of AF Gens. Maj Gen McCarthy, Lt gen Anderson. They board L-plane and take off. MS, MCU, Int, Rhee reads a citation and then awards a high Korean decoration to Gen Dean as Clark and Mrs. Rhee look on. MS, Dean speaks to reporters as he leaves.
