Artillery of the 167th Inf. shells German trenches at St. Maurice, St. Polo, and Grand Bois. The 167th and 168th Inf. man trenches near Neuviller. Troops receive clothing and pay. 151st F.A. troops pitch quoits and shoe a mule. Graves are decorated near Baccarat. Wounded are brought in and treated at 166th and 168th Inf. aid stations. 165th Inf. troops bring prisoners into Baccarat. Col. Douglas MacArthur and Gen. de Bazelaire meet at Glonville. Reel 2, 165th Inf. troops practice grenade throwing. Radiomen of the 117th Field Signal Bn. record artillery fire data at Baccarat. Gens. C.T. Menoher and M.J. Lenihan, and Col. Mac-Arthur inspect artillery and communication units. Horses and mules are unloaded and washed by 149th and 150th F.A. units. Mules pull a truck from a ditch. 42nd Div. troops box, play baseball, run foot races, and watch Scottish dances and tumbling exhibitions. Menoher, Lenihan, MacArthur, and French Gens. Dupont and Penet decorate graves.

Charles Thomas Menoher (b. March 20, 1862, Johnstown, Pennsylvania-d. Aug. 11, 1930, Washington, D.C.), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1886 and served in Cuba during the Spanish-American War and in three tours in the Philippines.
