This series consists of cables, telegrams, and dispatches between John Foster Dulles and various foreign service post locations. The records were created and maintained by John Foster Dulles, while he was serving as both the Consultant to the Secretary of State and the Special Representative of the President regarding the Japanese Peace Treaty. The records were transferred to the Office of Northeast Asian Affairs in 1953. Subject covered include negotiations of the peace treaty terms with various governments, Dulles' travels during the negotiations, and arrangements for the San Francisco Conference.
