John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Brookline, Massachusetts. Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald Kennedy (1890-1995) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of John Francis (a politician) and Mary Josephine (Hannon) Fitzgerald. She married Joseph Patrick Kennedy, financier and diplomat, on October 7, 1914.
