Mary Scott Welch was a progressive writer and editor for several magazines including, "Woman's Day," "Seventeen," "Pageant," and "Redbook." She wrote fiction and articles on domestic and women's issues, which included her daughter's rape, women in the workplace, networking and job searching, and raising a family.
