Schwartz was a television writer who wrote for the television mini-series "Wheels" and other programs. Before her death in 1978, Schwartz was working on a history of the Screen Writers' Guild entitled "The Hollywood Writers' Wars." The work was completed by her mother, Sheila Schwartz, in 1982. Sheila Schwartz (1929- ) was an English professor at State University of New York, New Paltz. She wrote adolescent literature and also completed "The Hollywood Writers' Wars" (1981) begun by her daughter, Nancy Lynn Schwartz. She also wrote "Like Mother, Like Me" (1978), a novel which Nancy made into a screenplay. Sheila later was a documentary film maker, producing "The Children of Izieu" in 1993, among others.
