The collection contains a four page history of the town of Carbon, Wyoming, by T.H. Butler and a typescript copy of a 1932 letter from Butler to S.D. Briggs of Hanna, Wyoming, listing the names of men buried in the No. 1 mine. Also included is a printed copy of a poem, "Carbon," by Mrs. C.E. Ellis of Difficulty, Wyoming.
