Delilah Montoya El Corazón Sagrado Collection 1993-1994

The Corazon Sagrado Project was undertaken by photographer Delilah Montoya in partial fulfillment of the Master of Fine Arts Degree at the University of New Mexico. The photographs illustrate the relationship between Christian and Precolumbian cults which both valued the heart as a divine symbol, as well as this symbol's role in ethno-historical experiences.
