Gilbert G. Stamm (1911-1989) is best known for his appointment and service as Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation between the years of 1973 and 1977. Stamm spent over thirty years educating the public on water issues and promoting reclamation projects throughout the United States. The Papers of Gilbert G. Stamm contains speeches, information on the Bureau of Reclamation projects, photographs and slides of projects, and printed material about Stamm and the Bureau of Reclamation.

Gilbert G. Stamm (1911-1989) had a long and distinguished career in government, which included serving as the Commissioner of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1973 to 1977.
