The Douglas County Water Advisory Board was established by resolution in April 1987 to address short and long term water needs of Douglas County and to advise the Board of County Commissioners concerning water resource issues in the County. The Advisory Board was composed of members of the scientific, legal, water resource, agricultural, land development and water supply fields. It was dissolved in 1995 by the Board of County Commissioners.
