Correspondence relating to the planning, financing, and publicity for the Congress held at Ithaca, New York, and Philadelphia in August and September, 1962; also includes lists of participants, copies of abstracts and papers presented with commentaries, periodicals, and mailing lists; also, drafts and final copies of the Congress' bulletins, minutes and memoranda of the planning and local arrangement committees, reports, and other material. Also, tape recordings of the proceedings. Henry Guerlac was the president of the Congress, Richard Shryock chaired the Philadelphia operations.
