Professor, novelist, essayist. Donald Hassler was born in 1937 on Akron, Ohio. He attended Columbia University, earning a Ph. D. He has taught literature at several universities on the east coast and presently resides in Kent, Ohio teaching at the university there. He is the author of several books on Erasmus Darwin.
