TV 2 is Kent State University's student-run television station, which is broadcast on Kent State University's cable system and on Time Warner Cable to Portage County residents. The station features student-produced programs including talk shows, election night coverage, pre-recorded programs, evening news programs Mondays through Fridays, and other shows. The collection contains recordings of various TV 2 programs.

The 20th Commemoration of the Kent State shootings, held in 1990, remains one of the largest-attended of all the annual gatherings. TV 2 is Kent State University's student-operated station. The station is staffed entirely by students and it is governed by a student board of directors. Currently during the academic year, one half-hour news program are presented each weeknight at 6:30 PM. Other topical programs are produced and shown at different times.
