John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Brookline, Massachusetts. Theodore Moody Berry (November 8, 1905 – October 15, 2000) was an American lawyer, jurist, and politician. A member of the Charter Party of Cincinnati, Ohio, he notably served as the first African-American mayor of Cincinnati from 1971 to 1975. Born in Maysville, Kentucky, he moved to Cincinnati in his youth, graduating from Woodward High School in 1924 and serving as class valedictorian, the first African American to hold that honor in Cincinnati.
