The brothers were in the printing and bicycle business in Dayton before they became interested in solving the problems of powered flight. Orville Wright was a pioneer aviator. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on Aug 19, 1871. He was a son of Bishop Milton and Susan Catherine (Koerner) Wright.
