Founded in 1910, the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton (JFGD) is a nonprofit and tax-exempt organization that furthers the welfare of the Jewish Community. Some activities of the organization include coordinating fundraising activities on a local and national level, fostering cooperation among Jewish organizations, and facilitating cultural, social, and educational programs. The records contain meeting minutes, correspondence, financial and membership records, photographs, scrapbooks, newspapers, and multimedia.
