William W. Richardson Diaries 1862-1865

William W. Richardson (b. 1827 or 1828) was a musician in Company I, 104th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, during the American Civil War. The collection consists of diaries kept by Richardson while serving in the 104th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. The diaries reflect the regiment's battle activities, as well as Richardson's duties, which included burying the dead, building fortifications, barbering and drawing maps.
