Charles Monroe Burton (1853-1932) attended the University of Michigan. On December 25, 1872, Burton married Harriet Jane Nye (1854-1896). The couple lived in Detroit, Michigan, with their eight children: Mary, Charles Ward, Clarence Henry, Fred, Louis Edward, Frank, Ralph, and Harriet. Frank Burton (b.
