Calvin Aronson was born in New York on January 22, 1903, the son of Russian immigrants Solomon and Sophie Aronson. On September 6, 1925, he married Pearl Goldblatt (b. 1905), a native of New York who had studied in Romania prior to 1924, when she began using the surname "Grant." Calvin Aronson died in June 1976.
