Vocational short courses and institutes were initiated by the Radcliffe Appointment Bureau to train students for careers after graduation. The Radcliffe Pitches, Harvard's all-female a capella singing group, was founded in 1974. The members perform popular music regularly for fellow students as well as at formal and informal events at clubs and at social, business and charitable occasions. They entertain in Bermuda on their annual spring tour, and have toured Europe in the summer of 1990 and Asia in the summers of 1993 and 1996.
