This collection consists of glass plate and nitrate negatives ofphotographs taken by Alfred M. Tozzer during a Peabody Museum-sponsored ethnographic andlinguistic expedition to the Yucatan to study the Lacandon Indians. It also includes theexploration of Tikal, Holmul, and Nakum in Guatemala for mapping purposes. The photographscapture indigenous people, artifacts, architecture, and landscapes.
