Nikolai Alekseevich Kliuev, 1887-1937 [Николай Алексеевич Клюев] was a Russian poet, one of the leaders of the "peasant poets" movement. In 1933 he was arrested for the negative portrayal of the Soviet regime in his poem The burned ruins [ Погорельщина ] and exiled to the region of Narymsk in Siberia.
