Charles White McGehee (1914-1993) was born in Summit, Mississippi. He graduated from the Crane Theological School of Tufts University in 1959, and was ordained to the Unitarian ministry the same year at the Birmingham Unitarian Church. A second career minister, he was a newspaper editor and radio director prior to entering the ministry.
