Bradford Eugene Gale (1907-1972) was born in Clinton, Massachusetts. He attended Tufts University and received his AB in 1932, his STB in 1934, and an honorary DD in 1949. He also attended Harvard Divinity School from 1933 to 1935 for graduate studies. In 1934, he was ordained as a Unitarian minister in Lincoln, Massachusetts, and held a ministerial position at the Lincoln Unitarian Church for a year.
