John L. Ballif scrapbook 1950-1964

John L. Ballif was born in 1887 or 1888 (sources differ) in Logan, Utah. He joined the University of Utah faculty in 1922 and eventually became a professor of languages. He later served as assistant dean of men and graduate athletic manager. He was Dean of men from 1937 until his death in 1954. A University of Utah dormitory, Ballif Hall, was dedicated in his honor in 1956. This collection contains photocopies of newspaper clippings, photographs, and other ephemera, originally in a scrapbook.
