The Cole Family Photograph Album includes pictures of the Albert, Rilla, Cora, Essa, Roy, relatives, and friends posing on the Cole farm and neighboring farms in the Dry Creek Area. A few images are of farming activities and rural school children. Other identifiable locations of the snapshots include Bozeman, Montana at Gallatin County High School and Montana Hall on the campus of Montana State College; Belgrade, Montana; and Yellowstone National Park.

Albert S. Cole, his wife Rilla and children Cora, Essa and Roy were a farm family living along Dry Creek, a few miles north of Belgrade, Montana. They arrived at this location sometime before 1900 (listed in 1900 census), and farmed considerable acreage as shown by early Gallatin County property owners maps.
