This congregation was organized on May 3, 1940 with Rev. Olaf Anderson presiding. Land was purchased on the north side of town, for the church site by the 25 charter families. The first services and Sunday School were held in the AOUW Hall. On November 11, 1941, the cornerstone was laid for a new church which was to cost $6,000.
