The Office of Cooperative Research was established in 1951 to solicit research contracts and grants from governmental and private agencies and to administer research contracts and grants. The name was changed to the Office of Research Administration in 1967 and to the present Office of Sponsored Projects in 1988. This collection contains reports on externally-funded research projects and a chronological correspondence file (1954-1967).
