University of Utah Graduate School of Education records 1973-1984

In 1978, the Elementary Education Division established Professional Development Centers at six elementary schools in the Granite, Salt Lake City, and Tooele school districts of Utah. These provided pre-service training for prospective teachers, in-service training for practicing teachers, and a base for educational research. This collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, and reports related to the general administration of the Graduate School of Education. Approximately one-half of these records concern the establishment and operation of Professional Development Centers in local elementary schools.
