Kamola Hall at Washington State Normal School (predecessor to Central Washington University) was completed in October of 1911. A dining room addition was added in 1915 and was enlarged once again in 1919. The facility was originally used as a women’s dormitory. Multimedia Technology and Instructional Support Department was first established in 1972 as Media Production Services of the Audiovisual Division of the Library Department. After 1987, the unit changed titles and switched departments.
