University of Utah Deputy Business Vice President for Finance records 1947-1968 1962-1968

In 1967 the name of the office of Business Vice President was changed to Business, Finance, and Construction Vice President and it was placed under the new Office of the Executive Vice President. The Deputy Business Vice President for Finance was one of two Deputy Business Vice Presidents. Duties of the Deputy Business Vice President for Finance were transferred to the new office of Financial Vice President in 1968. Gordon J. Miller served as Controller in the office of the Business Vice President from 1961 to 1967. From 1965 through 1967, he held the additional title of Deputy Business Vice President for Finance. This collection contains files of Gordon J. Miller related to his work as Controller (1961-1967) and Deputy Business Vice President for Finance (1965-1967). Included are correspondence with Business Vice President Paul W. Hodson, and meeting minutes and reports from administrative committees. Also included are files related to physical plant operations, auxiliary services, the administration of the University Bond System, and the financial records associated with the planning and construction of the University of Utah Medical Center.
