In June, 1930, a group of Lutherans got together in Culbertson and organized a congregation. They made a request to the Home Mission Board of the ALC for a pastor, and Rev. Charles Johnson arrived in July. New congregations were also organized in Bainville and Brockton, and the three together were called the Bainville Parish.
