Noel Loomis (1905-1969) was born in Wakita, Oklahoma and educated at the University of Oklahoma. Beginning in 1929 he became a free-lance writer of adventure and western fiction novels and scripts. He wrote for the popular western TV series', Bonanza and Have Gun Will Travel . He taught writing at San Diego State College and was a writing consultant in San Diego city schools.
