U.S. Congressional Representative Al Swift was active from 1978 to 1994, serving on many committees. Al Swift was born in Tacoma, Washington on September 12, 1935, where he graduated from Lincoln High School. Swift attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington from 1953 to 1955. He graduated from Central Washington University located in Ellensburg, Washington in 1957 with a B.A. in Journalism.
