Until 1975 the Department of Biophysics and Bioengineering was located in the College of Engineering. In 1975 the department was divided into the Department of Bioengineering in the College of Engineering and the Department of Biophysics in the College of Medicine. In 1976 the name of the Department of Biophysics was changed to the Department of Medical Biophysics and Computing. This collection includes departmental correspondence and reports, as well as materials related to federal and state grants to provide computer services to hospitals.
