University of Utah Administrative Council (1973-1983) records 1973-1981

President David P. Gardner formed an Administrative Council as part of his reorganization of the University administration in 1973. This body, the members of which included deans and certain administrative officers, considered matters having University-wide policy implications. This Administrative Council is not related to the original Administrative Council formed in the aftermath of the Academic Freedom Controversy of 1915. The original Council was the predecessor of the present Academic Senate. This collection contains meeting minutes of the Administrative Council formed in 1973. Also included are budgets and reports presented to the Council for information and discussion.
