Elizabeth Watts Henley was an Assistant Professor of English and Creative Writing at Oregon State University from 1959 until her retirement in 1972. Henley was born in Bellingham, Washington, and attended Western Washington University. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in English from the University of Washington.
