University of Utah Facilities Planning and Construction Office records 1934-1979 1965-1976

In 1972 Campus Planning, Physical Plant Engineering, and Traffic Engineering were consolidated into Architecture and Engineering, administered under Physical Plant Operations and Construction. In 1973 a new office called Plant Operations was created which combined these and other functions. In 1975 another reorganization resulted in the creation of Facilities Planning and Construction separate from Plant Operations with Bruce Jensen as director. This collection contains correspondence, accounts, clippings, architectural drawings, contracts, reports, and articles, related to the design, construction, and renovation of campus buildings as well as general campus planning activities.
