The Elias Morris journal (1825-1869) consist of a missionary journal, which also includes an autobiographical sketch, written by Elias Morris (1825-1898). Morris was a convert to the LDS Church from Wales.

Elias Morris was born on 30 June 1825 to John and Barbara Morris in Llanfair, Talhairne, Denbogshire, Wales. He joined the LDS Church in 1849 and later moved to Provo, Utah, with his wife, Marry Parry, whom he married in 1852. Morris was a builder, contractor, and masonry worker.
