University of Utah Vice President For University Relations Office records 1966-1984

Dr. Ray Hixson was appointed by president David P. Gardner to the newly created position of Vice President for University Relations in 1974. Hixson was replaced in 1975 by R. J. Snow, who served as VP for University Relations and (briefly, in 1984) VP for Student and University Relations until December 24, 1984 when he resigned and left the University. This collection contains meeting minutes, correspondence, memoranda, and reports to and from subordinate offices, chiefly Public Relations, Intercollegiate Athletics, Governmental Relations, Development, and the Alumni Association.
