Rhoda Love was born in Seattle in 1932. She studied botany at the University of Washington where she received her BS in biology (1955) and MS in botany (1959). She made a career switch to environmental science and received a PhD in biology/ecology (1980) from the University of Oregon. Love began teaching biology in the Science Department at Lane Community College in 1966 and was instrumental in establishing the botany program and the herbarium at LCC. She taught at LCC f...
