The School of Education Records document the academic and research programs of the School of Education at Oregon State University in elementary and secondary teacher education as well as vocational and adult education. Teacher education began at OSU in 1909 under the department of Industrial Education and culminated with the merger of the College of Education with Western Oregon College (now Western Oregon University) from 1982 to 1989.

Teacher education at OSU began in 1909 under the direction of the Department of Industrial Pedagogy. By 1918, OSU was designated by the State Board of Vocational Education to prepare teachers in vocational subjects.
