The Joseph F. Smith family papers (1860-1944) contain correspondence, diaries, a letter book, and general materials pertaining to the life of Joseph F. Smith, his wives, and family. Smith was the sixth President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He was the last President of the Church to have personally known the founder of the Mormon faith, the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr., who was also his uncle.
