Amasa M. Lyman was a member of Council of the Twelve Apostles. From the guide to the MS 829 Amasa M. Lyman collection 1832-1877 (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Church History Library) Amasa Mason Lyman was an apostle in the LDS Church from 1842 to 1867.
