Ludvig G. Browman was born in 1904, in De Kalb, Illinois. He earned his teaching certificate from Northern Illinois Teacher’s College, De Kalb, Illinois in 1924. He continued his education gaining a B.S. in Biology in 1928 and Ph.D. in Zoology in 1935, both from the University of Chicago.
