This congregation was organized by the Rev. Henry Rieke and was also served by Rev. Paul Groschupf until the first pastor was called 1891. The congregation met in homes until 1917, when the church was built at a cost of $6000. The physical plant was enlarged in 1958 and a parsonage was added in 1966. The early years were a struggle.
