The Llewellyn Link Callaway Letter to A. S. Daggy consists of a original handwritten letter, postmarked Virginia City, July 25, 1895, from Callaway to Augustus Smith Daggy (1858-1952) of Chatham, New Jersey. Llewellyn Link Callaway was born in Tuscola, Illinois on December 15, 1868, the son of James Edmund Callaway and Mary Elizabeth (Link) Callaway. He moved to Montana with his parents in 1871 but he returned to the eastern states for his education, eventually earning a law degree from the University of Michigan in 1891.
