The Columbia Steel Corporation mined iron ore in the Pioche and Vermillion claims of Iron County, Utah, from 1924-1926. It was acquired by the United States Steel Corporation in 1930 and became the Columbia Steel Company, which operated near Iron Mountain, Utah, beginning in 1936.
