Letter to Sir William Rumbold November 10, 1820

Carlo J. Doyle (b. 1787), army officer, writes to Sir William Rumbold (1787-1833), third baronet, about plans to return to London. Doyle also encloses bills (not included) which Lord Hastings (1754-1826) took care of in Rumbold's absence to keep Rush Moore from going to jail. Doyle also relates incidents in which Rush Moore has behaved less than honorably. In closing, Doyle offers to handle any commissions that Rumbold might have for him in London and notes that Lord Hastings is leaving shortly after a hunting excursion.
